“Our sister, may you become the mother of thousands of ten thousands; and may your descendants possess the gates of those who hate them” (Genesis 24:60).

That was the time when Rebecca was to be the bride for the forefather Isaac and at this juncture we find her family blessing her thousands of ten thousand times.

Now, Christ who is greater than Isaac is the bridegroom for our souls. The church is His bride. Paul the Apostle writes, “For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ” (II Corinthians 11:2). Yes, I and you have to be a bride free of blame and stain in His presence. ”…..for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His wife has made herself ready” (Revelation 19:7). When you prepare yourself in cleansing, holiness and worship, you will definitely be blessed crores and crores of times.

There is a blessing even better to this. That is the level of opening the windows of heaven. When you bring your tithes into the storehouse happily and wholeheartedly, God will surely open the windows of the heaven and pour out the blessing, in such a way that there will not be enough room to receive it (Malachi 3:10).

God blessed Abraham and his descendants like the sand of the seashore and the dust of the earth. At the same time, God willed to bless with the blessings of the high through Christ, son of Abraham. “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be” (Genesis 15:5).

The worldly Jews have inherited wisdom and are excelling in science today. The Ishmaelites have inherited the petrol in the Arab countries and are wealthy today. But we have been blessed with all the blessings of the high. On one side God opens the windows of heaven and on the other side, He promises that He will make us shine like the stars of the sky. Your blessings do not end with the earth and it reaches the eternal mountain.

Dear children of God, you have been called to inherit the blessings. So, do not expect the worldly blessings alone from God but expect greater and eternal ones from Him. Everything in the world is useless and ones to disappear. How precious are the eternal inheritances! Seek and search them alone.

To meditate: “Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever” (Daniel 12:3).
