RICHES AND HONOUR!
“For wisdom is better than rubies and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her” (Proverbs 8:11).
What do many people think? Their thinking is that it is satan who is behind the worldly things and offers them the blessings to all whom he likes or to those who worship him. Most of the people belonging to other religions have an exclusive god for prosperity. They believe that if a sacrifice is made to such gods while beginning a trade or building a new house, they will give immeasurable wealth. In Indian culture, people choose a day and call it as ‘akshayath day.’ They spread the false belief that it is the day of prosperity and if some gold is bought on that day, their wealth will grow abundantly.
A poet of those days sang “Money is god and god himself knows it.” Money is not God and one who created the sky and earth alone is God. The earth is filled with His good things. “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine,’ says the Lord of hosts” (Haggai 2:8). God has placed crores of pearls in the sea. He has placed the diamond mines and most valuable stones beneath the earth. He is the richest and He gives His children joyfully
So, if you are in need of financial blessing seek it from God. He is happy in giving to His children. In fact, our Heavenly Father knows what your need is. He will give you everything at the appropriate time.
You can understand the way for your financial advancement from the 16 parables out of the total of 36 parables told by Jesus. In the ‘Sermon on the Mount’, He speaks about the money and wealth in sixteen verses. Once I visited a pastor’s home. In the front room of his house, there was a wall hanging and it was written as “Satan, give back to me all those things which you have stolen from me.” I laughed at this and asked him “How long you have begun to pray to satan?
Why did you allow him to steal from you? Once you allow this everything ends and to whatever extent you plead, satan will not budge.” Dear children of God, seek from the precious, loving Father, rather than begging from satan. “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work” (II Corinthians 9:8).
To meditate: “Riches and honor are with me, enduring riches and righteousness.my fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, and my revenue than choice silver. I traverse the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice, that I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, that I may fill their treasuries” (Proverbs 8:18-21).
