….ARE MINE!

“For every beast of the forest is mine and the cattle on a thousand hills” (Psalm 50:10).

God said, “I know all the birds of the mountains and the wild beasts of the field are mine. “If I were hungry, I would not tell you; for the world is mine and all its fullness” (Psalm 50:11, 12).

Since it is God who created everything, all belong to God. We are not only His children but also His inheritances. God will have mercy on us and give everything to us just as a father pities his children and gives them all good things. If you are the children of God, you can seek and receive everything from Him with the filial right. He will bless you and give you the authority over everything.

While mentioning about the children of God, David said, “You have made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; You have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen—Even the beasts of the field, the birds of the air and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas” (Psalm 8:6-8).

God gives His children all their requirements like finance, wealth and influence. Strength, wisdom and mental enthusiasm are required for one to do hard work and it is our Lord Jesus Christ who provides all these graces.

One person believed that God will give everything and it is not a necessity to hard work. To substantiate this point he caught hold of one verse which Jesus Christ said. It is “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them.”

It is true. But look at those birds. They do not sit idle in their nests. On getting up in the morning, they fly in search of food. Every now and then they come back to the nests and feed their young ones and take care of them.

Dear children, it is your duty to work hard and take care of the requirements of your family. Our elders have said, “Earn money even by going across the sea.” The Scripture says as a promise “When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you” (Psalm 128:2).

Look here. God says about the labor of your hand. To work hard is your duty. We read in Genesis 31:42, how much Jacob labored and worked hard for the sake of his wives and children. Pray, work hard and receive the blessing and wealth.

To meditate: “…and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God” (Ecclesiastes 3:13).
