“He made known to me the mystery” (Ephesians 3:3).

If Christ dwells in your heart (Ephesians 3:17), you will understand the secrets of God. Paul the Apostle was called as the steward of the mysteries of God (I Corinthians 4:1). “……as it has now been revealed by the Spirit …….that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,” (Ephesians 3:5, 6).

Numerous secrets are there around you. There are some family secrets. There are secrets between father and son. There are secrets in politics. The Military, Police and the national leaders protect their secrets. At the same time, they try to gather the secrets of other nations and secrets related to their defence. Similarly, there are divine secrets. “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever” (Deuteronomy 29:29)

“Unrevealed hidden matter” is the meaning for the word ’secret.’ A secret is not the one which everyone knows. One servant of God said, “What is the great secret hidden in a secret? You can understand that you are dwelling in Christ and Christ is dwelling in you. But how is it possible for both the things of Christ dwelling in you and you dwelling in Christ, happen at the same time?” He made everyone around to think by posing this question.

Later he himself came out with the explanation. He took a bottle filled with water and threw the same into a well which was full of water. Doing this, he said, “What is the present situation? Water is in the bottle and the bottle itself is in the water of the well. This is the secret of you staying in Christ and Christ staying in you at the same time.”

See! In the Old Testament, God chose the tribe of Judah for Himself (Psalm 78:68). We do not belong to Judahs but are gentiles. In the place of the children of Israel, we are fellow heirs, of the same body and partakers of all His promises. We receive this great privilege through the truth that “Christ is in us and we are in Christ.”

Jesus Christ comes into you, once when you accept Him as your Saviour; you are united with the children of Israel. At the same time, you will inherit all the heavenly blessings which are in Christ. So, it is highly essential that Christ should dwell in your heart. Only then you could inherit all the blessings of the Most High.

To meditate: “…….which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets” (Ephesians 3:5).
