“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8:26).

The Holy Spirit which dwells in you is a prayer warrior. The first thing He does while coming to dwell in you is to turn your body into His temple; makes it His dwelling place; prayer house. He begins to pray from within you. While you pray, He brings the tongue which is the heavenly language into you. The Spirit Himself begins to pray with groaning which cannot be uttered.

You may not know how to apply properly and what to ask for. You may not know to pray according to the will of God. During such situations, call the Holy Spirit. Plead Him to pray from within you with groaning which cannot be uttered and obtain the answers for your prayers. Dedicate yourself in His hands as a holy vessel.

Once I deeply meditated the verse vide Romans 8:26. After meditation, I humbled myself and with tears prayed saying, “Holy Spirit, you have told that you would pray with groaning which cannot be uttered. I do not know what this groaning is and I want to know what it is.” Fifteen minutes passed by and the groaning and tears overflew in me uncontrollably. A big burden over Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu came into me. I prayed with tears and groaning “Prayer warriors should arise; Righteous should arise; Saint should arise.”

How blessed it is to pray along with the Holy Spirit! No enemy can stand against God if He rises from within you as a strong mighty one. No evil power can approach the family. “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him” (Isaiah 59:19).

One who stays near you as a prayer friend and partner will rise mightily to break the powers of the enemy. When the disciples were praying on the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended on them mightily and they were filled with divine fire (Acts 2:1, 2). They were worn with the strength of the Most High.

Dear children of God, your life of prayer will differ to good if you pray along with the Holy Spirit; will be transfigured. Similar to how a commander leads the army holding the National flag aloft, the Holy Spirit will lead you in prayer. He is the victorious flag in the battle; He is “The Lord is my banner.”

To meditate: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
