“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them” (Mark 11:24).

Lord Jesus Christ performed many miracles when He was in this world. Though the most important reason for the miracles performed was the power within Him, He laid more importance to their faith. “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive” (Mathew 21:22).

To stress this point, He cited a mountain and a mulberry tree as parables. “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:23). “So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you” (Luke 17:6).

The prayer with faith will get you everything. It will break all the shackles. It will make even the mountain like huge problems to disappear. What is impossible to man will be possible to God. “….all things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23). “And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith” (I John 5:4). You need to have faith that God will listen to your prayer and answer.

God looked at the centurion and said, “As you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour (Mathew 8:13). He told the woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour (Mathew 9:22). Once, two blind men came to Jesus. Jesus asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” When they answered affirmatively He touched their eyes saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” (Mathew 9:28, 29).

A woman of Canaan came to Jesus for the deliverance of her daughter who was demon possessed. Jesus told her “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire” (Mathew 15:28). Whatever you ask God, ask it firmly without any doubt. Ask with faith. As you keep on listening to powerful witnesses with life, the faith will increase in you.

Dear children of God, be filled with faith. Proclaim the verses of promise with faith. Our compassionate God will honour your faith and definitely do a miracle for you. So, grow in your faith. Get strengthened in faith.

To meditate: “but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name” (John 20:31).
