Hand of God!

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh that you would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that your hand would be with me and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” (I Chronicles 4:10)

This is the prayer of Jabez who led a sad life. Even today, you look at God and seek earnestly, “Let your hand be with me.” God who did mighty wonders through the hands of Paul the Apostle will do the same with your hands too. He is an impartial God. So, may the power of the hands of God be revealed in your life.

Just imagine how the hands of God would be. Yes, His Mighty hand and outstretched arm redeemed Israel from the slavery of Egypt. When He who guided the Israelites in the wilderness stands with His mighty hand raised, who could oppose it? That hand brings divine strength and divine power. You will be blessed in everything when the hand of God is upon you.

David’s witness is “Your right hand has held me up” (Psalms 18:35). All our days are in the hands of God. God’s hand will bless you and protect you from all evils.
T. L. Osborne, who was a devotee, came to India with his wife as a missionary in his young age. He failed in his ministry. He was unable to overcome the arguments and the philosophy of the Muslims and the Hindus. His children fell sick. He returned to his native place disappointed with sadness and inferiority complex.

There he fasted and prayed for a long duration and pleaded earnestly “God, let your hand be with me.” The power of God began to reveal on him after this fasting prayer. Several miracles happened through him. Then, he not only visited India but went to the many nations of the world and gained lakhs of souls.

Behind an ordinary policeman, there is the entire Police Department, authority and the Government. Similarly, when the divine hand is on you, all the angels, all the gifts of the Spirit and the entire heaven will stand by your side. Nehemiah cheerfully said, “….the hand of my God which had been good upon me…..” (Nehemiah 2:18). All his efforts ended fruitfully. He built the high walls of Jerusalem.

The hand of God came upon Elijah and so he was able to outrun the chariot of Ahab with divine strength. He closed the sky to stop the rain and again he opened the same for the rain to pour. He made the fire to descend from the sky and proved that ‘The Lord is our God.’ Dear children of God, may the hand of God be attached to that of yours. Then, God will heal the people through you and do miracles.

To meditate: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
