Blood of The Covenant!

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12).

Today God promises with love and says, “Dear son, you have been waiting for a long time. Your waiting is going to be fulfilled now. I am not going to give you a simple blessing. The blessing I am going to give you today will be like a tree of life.”

Yes. Truly, waiting is a hard thing indeed and it could cause the mind to get depressed. That too, waiting for a long time will create disappointments. Others might look down upon us with contempt. No one prefers to wait. People will always prefer things to happen fast similar to how food items are made ready quickly in fast food restaurants.

Similarly waiting for a long duration in hospitals for medical treatment will also cause mental stress. Some are waiting for the marriage, some others for pregnancy and a few more for good employment.

In my youth days, my marriage was getting delayed due to the deformity in my leg. At that time, my father used to comfort and console me by writing the verse “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12) in his letter to me. Similarly, Habakkuk the prophet says “Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, It will not tarry” (Habakkuk 2:3).

These words of God came true in my life. The girl whom God chose for me was greater in all senses than the girls who rejected me. Though delayed, I received the best from God.

Ecclesiastes says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Yes. God has predestined good things for you and He will reveal it to you at the appropriate time.

Never murmur against God and do not seek the reasons for the delay. Patiently wait for God and rely upon Him. According to His promise “your healing shall spring forth speedily” (Isaiah 58:8). “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (III John 1:2).

Though there were thousands of trees in the Eden Garden and though there were many fruit yielding trees and plants, God had kept the fruit in the tree of life for Adam and Eve to eat. It helped them to have life and to have it more abundantly. Yes. God has prepared a special one for you to feel happy and rejoice.

To meditate: “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life and he who wins souls is wise” (Proverbs 11:30).
