On The Way!

“Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared” (Exodus 23:20).

Today, the Lord gives you this loving promise. First, "I will keep you in the way" and secondly, "I will bring you to the place I prepared for you" and the third one says, "Behold, I send you a messenger before you." Hold it firmly and pray for the promises to be fulfilled.
This is the time in which we undertake journeys.  Our children go to faraway places to earn. So, do not be afraid and hold the promise of the Lord. When we undertake journeys, our father used to remind us of the verse in Proverbs 3: 6.

“In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:6). When you remember the Lord with this prayer, the journey will be a pleasant one. The Lord will accompany you and will guide you safely to the destination.

Psalm 91 is a psalm of security. There again, God reminds of his angel. “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands, they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone” (Psalms 91:11, 12). Read this psalm in full and praise God for His mercy of protection.

When the Israelites travelled from Egypt to Canaan, they saw the angel standing before them. When the Egyptians came with the intention to drive them away, to chase and destroy them, the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them” (Exodus 14:19). There was no interruption in the journey or loss of life either.

The Lord will lead you on your journey so that no thieves, accidents, losses or the evil creatures get nearer to you so that, there is no necessity for you to become tense during your travel or worry over anything.

You need to think of one thing firmly. You have to make sure whether you go according to the will of God and follow the path prescribed by Him. Do not go to Tarshish when the necessity is to visit Nineveh, as Jonah did. Do not go to Jericho leaving Jerusalem as the stranger caught by the thieves did. Do not leave Bethlehem and go to Moab, as Naomi did. There are good security and peace in the midst of the will of God.

To meditate: “In all their affliction He was afflicted and the Angel of His Presence saved them;” (Isaiah 63:9).
