….I Will do With You!

“And He said: “Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you” (Exodus 34:10).

The Lord makes a covenant with you and gives you the promise. What is that? You will see the wonderful things that no one can do in any of the nations and in the whole of the earth. People with you will also see this. I will perform miracles and signs before any people, who have abused you and have saddened you. I am going to do big things through you. You will not be put to shame.

“…and that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name, and in honour, and that you may be a holy people to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken” (Deuteronomy 26:19). Staying with Joseph, He lifted him up in the palace of Egypt and made his brothers and father serve him. He was with Moses to the end and the people saw the great things done by God through Moses.

God elevated David who had been grazing the sheep. All the people of Israel saw the anointing that was upon him.  The kingship was in him. He sweetly sang the Psalms of Israel. God makes a similar promise today and says, “The people will witness the great things I am going to do with you. I will lift your head and I will exalt you amidst your friends and relatives.”

To get this blessing, you need to seek God in the early morning as Moses did. God said, “So be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself to me there on the top of the mountain” (Exodus 34:2). Yes, dear children of God, in order to use you and to know the will of God come to the presence of God every day in the early morning. God pours the manna early in the morning only.

Jesus Christ rose early in the morning and prayed. Dear children of God, devote yourself to the Lord in the early morning. The early hour belongs to God. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you” (Mathew 6:33). God likes the prayer made in the early morning.

Moses climbed the Mount Sinai and reached the presence of God at the top. Climbing the mountain is not a normal affair. “Now the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there and proclaimed the Name of the Lord” (Exodus 34:5). Because of that early morning prayer, God did great miracles through Moses which He had not done through anyone else. Dear children of God, seek Him early in the morning.

To meditate: “O God, you are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water” (Psalms 63:1).
