“Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:18, 19).

Our God is wonderful in opening the ways. Even when the doors are closed in all directions, He is powerful to open the path in the wilderness. His mercy towards those who lay their faith on Him is incomparable.

One brother was totally depressed after his life had become miserable and all the ways out had been closed. Being unable to know which way to go, he came to the church worriedly. God only knew his mental struggle and sorrow.

During the time of sermon, the pastor suddenly turned towards him and prophetically told, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing” (Isaiah 43:18, 19). Those words powerfully descended on that brother. The feeling of God speaking to him strengthened him.

On that day, as God had said, He did a new thing in that brother’s life. The good news came to him from an unexpected resource similar to how God creates a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. This cooled down his soul.

Dear children of God, God likes to do new things also in your life. If God blocks a thing in your life the true meaning for this is that God is eager to do even greater things in the lives of His children.

The thoughts of God are a thousand times greater than that of yours. The ways of God are a thousand times better than that of yours. You think based on the knowledge provided by the small brain. But God stays with great wisdom and wishes to give only the best to His children.

The Red Sea blocked the children of Israel in front when they came out of Egypt. Mountains were there on both sides. At the back, the army of Pharaoh was chasing them. In which way could they proceed? The olden way is to travel in a boat or ship when the need arises to cross a sea. But God says that He will do a new thing.

What is this new thing? He split the Red Sea into two and created a path in between. So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground. The water on their right side and left side remained as walls (Exodus 14:22).

Dear children of God, that God is your God. He shows no partiality (Acts 10:34). Definitely, He will do a miracle for you.

To meditate: “He does great things past finding out, yes, wonders without number” (Job 9:10).
