COURSE JESTING AND ANSWER!

“….neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks” (Ephesians 5:4).

A farmer who was living in a particular place had the habit of making fun of God. Once he commented, “It is wrong on the part of God to keep the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Eden Garden. If He had not kept it, Adam and Eve would not have eaten it.

A pious king was watching this. He called the farmer and told him, “I heard that you are a hard worker and I appreciate you for that. Hereafter you need not toil in the field. You can live like a prince in a palace built for you. I have one single room for my usage and it is my secret room. This room is kept locked and you may enjoy the entire palace except this room.” Saying this, the king handed over the palace to the farmer.

The farmer was astonished on seeing the palace. His thought went this way “Every room has beautiful things in it. In that case how beautiful the king’s room would be?” Being unable to control his temptation, one day he slowly opened the room without anyone’s knowledge. But nothing was in the room and simply a dove flew out flapping its wings.

Within a few seconds, the king came there with the dove that flew out. The king questioned, “Why did you open? Why did you disobey my command? I had kept the dove inside just to check whether you open that room or not.” He was also chased out of that palace similar to how Adam and Eve were sent out of the Eden Garden. Only at that moment, he understood the history behind Adam and Eve. It is in this way many people are throwing out questions on the words of God.

Dear children of God, never speak contradicting the Scripture verses of God. The Word of God is life and Spirit. Never raise questions like “Why should God do this? Instead, it would have been good, if He had done this that way.” Believe the Word of God one hundred per cent and obey them without placing any doubt over them.

Never initiate to build new policies against the Scripture verses. In reply to Job, God questions “Shall the one who contends with the Almighty correct Him?” (Job 40:2). One who believes God and His words will stay as unshakable Mount Zion forever.

In several situations, satan will test you with the Scripture. Never try to make yourself righteous by accusing the words of God.

Dear children of God, if God gives you a promise, hold it with faith without placing doubt on it. Firmly pray until God fulfils it. Love and believe the Word of God and implement the same in your life. God will definitely bless you.

To meditate: “Would you indeed annul my judgment? Would you condemn me that you may be justified?” (Job 40:8).
