THE WISE LOCUSTS!

“The locusts have no king, yet they all advance in ranks” (Proverbs 30:27).

Solomon the wise points out the locusts which fly in groups as the third amongst the five creatures which he values as the ‘exceedingly wise.’ The locusts work in unity. When they depart, they depart in groups. The similar thoughts, similar spirit, unity and fellowship among them attracted Solomon greatly. That is why he writes ‘they all advance in ranks.’

Dear children of God, do you possess that fellowship of love in you? Does the love of fellowship prevail in your family? Is there like-mindedness in the church? David says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity” (Psalm 133:1). Let the fellowship of love be in your family first. Amos, the prophet asks, “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” (Amos 3:3).

Secondly, the locusts will fly in the direction in which the wind blows. You can find this in the tenth chapter of the book of Exodus. The direction of the wind is similar to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and will of God. Submit yourself to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit guides you and when you obey the will of God, then there can never be a defeat and it will be a success all the way.

No power can stand against you when the Holy Spirit guides you. Adam and Eve fell for the reason that they did not wish to be guided by God and instead paid heed to what satan said. The children of God who are wise will act only after knowing what the will of God is. “So is everyone who is born of the Spirit” (John 3:8).

Thirdly, the locusts will listen to the noises made around. Even though they are without a king to lead, the reason for their functioning in unison is their capacity to listen to the noises. When the noise of the legs rubbing with the wings is heard they all rise and fly in one stroke. They do not yield to their own self-wishes.

If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes God will definitely bless you immeasurably.

“If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26).

Dear children of God, if you live blemishlessly and righteously before the presence of God, you will be transformed when the trumpets sound the Coming of Christ and fly together in the sky.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live” (John 5:25).
