“Oh, that you would rend the heavens! That you would come down! That the mountains might shake at your presence— As fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil” (Isaiah 64:1, 2).

Isaiah is a very big prophet. God gave Isaiah a vision as He willed a revival to come up through him. “Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged” (Isaiah 6:6, 7).

One day, Isaiah had a vision of God. The whole of heaven was filled with holiness. All the seraphim hid and were praising God saying “Holy, Holy, Holy.” The Seraphim did not commit sin but stood with a shiver in the presence of the holiness of God.

But, when Isaiah who did not decorate himself with holiness met God cried saying “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.”

Flame of fire is in the altar. Yes. Lips filled with altar’s flame of fire, will definitely bring resurgence. Isaiah realizes the dirt in his lips and eyes. But yet, he ignored the call, dwelled in the midst of the unclean people thus defiling himself.

But God willed to purify his lips and enable him to come out with many more prophesies as he had received the call of God and thus gave His vision to him. Later, Isaiah turned into a great prophet.

Even, when you live forgetting the call of God, He will not let it go. “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29). To put them to use, what is essential is the beauty of Holiness in you.

The altar keeps on pointing out the cross and the fire of the Holy Spirit. These two should be present in your lips. Fill your lips with the friendliness of Calvary, love of Calvary and the sacrifice of Calvary.

Paul the Apostle says, “But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world” (Galatians 6:14).

Dear children of God, if you have the fire in your lips, you can descend the fire of revival in the nation by providing anointed angels. Will you plead for the revival of the nation? (Isaiah 64:2).

To meditate: “It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear” (Isaiah 65:24).
