“So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth” (Genesis 9:1).

A new beginning happened in the life of Noah. All the old things passed by. The sinners and the wicked were destroyed by the great flood. Noah and his family underwent a heavenly experience and descended on the Mountain of Ararat.

You also have come into a new beginning with God. God who blessed Noah and his children blesses you and your family today. God who told the family of Noah to multiply and fill the earth counsels you to fill the world with the Gospel.

Noah is the son of Lamech; grandson of Methuselah; great-grandson of Enoch. He came as a descendant of Adam in the tenth generation. All his greatness rested on his dwelling with God. It is noted as ''Noah Walked with God'' (Genesis 6:9). It renders the meaning that Noah walked with God or he sojourned with God or spoke with God face to face. May God provide you in this month, a deep relationship and fellowship with the Lord.

On returning from the lunar zone, James Irvin the astronaut said, “My walking in the moon is not a big issue but what thrills my mind most is the feeling that God walks along with me in my life in this world. When God walks with you, you will never experience worry or fear and He will take care of all those things.

Lamech called his son Noah, saying, “This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord has cursed” (Genesis 5:29). Similar to how Noah was there to comfort Lamech, the Holy Spirit is there to comfort you. Jesus said, “…. another Helper, that He may abide with you forever — the Spirit of truth……..” (John 14:16, 17). Do you know how He will comfort you? “As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem” (Isaiah 66:13).

Dear children of God, in this new month, God will provide you with great comfort and consolation. If you lead a life getting closer to God, He will also rejoice in you and bless you by consoling and comforting you in every way.

To meditate: “The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron” (Psalm 115:12).
