“You saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son” (Deuteronomy 1:31).

God is One who moves on carrying you. Just like a father carrying his young son over his shoulder, God is gracious to carry every one of you.

As a father carries his son, God carried the children of Israel all the way from Egypt to Canaan, the duration of the travel being forty years. The shoulders of God are so strong and gracious that He was able to carry around twenty lakhs of people big and small when they travelled towards Canaan. He fed all those people during their travel in the wilderness. He gave them water. He preserved their clothing from getting worn out. That God is your God forever.

Dear children of God, are you lamenting being unable to know how to move ahead in this world? But God says, “Do not fear. I am your Heavenly Father and I will carry you as a father carries his son. The Scripture says, “As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreading out its wings, taking them up, carrying them on its wings, so the Lord alone led him” (Deuteronomy 32:11, 12).

Yes. God not only carries you in worldly affairs but also in Spiritual aspects. The Scripture says that the Holy Spirit carried away Phillip while he came out of the water along with the eunuch after baptizing him. The Holy Spirit carries us just as the eagle carries its eaglets on its wings.

See! The enemies of John the Apostle imprisoned him in solitude in an island called Patmos. They did not know the love of the Heavenly Father. What happened? The day of the Lord arrived and God blessed John with the Holy Spirit. God carried John on His wings which were like that of the eagle and took him to heaven.

Dear children of God, never forget that there is one loving Father who could carry you even when trials and tribulations exert pressure on you from all directions. He consoles you with love saying, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God” (John 14:1). Not only that. He commands peace to you saying, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you”

To meditate “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
