“Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the great King” (Psalm 48:2).
God calls you as ‘Zion’ and ‘Jerusalem’. How should be Zion? It should be in an elevated position and the joy of the entire earth. You should look like the children of the King of kings. People should see the replica of God’s glory in you. Let the thought that the ‘King of kings’ and the Lord of lords’ is within you make your face to blossom. Christ dwells in you as the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Is not the Spirit of Glory also dwells in you? (I Peter 4:14)
There was a beautiful and handsome prince in a country. People were searching for a suitable life partner for him in several places. Once when he was in a procession along with his elephant parade, cavalry and the infantry, he saw a poor girl in rags. He ordered his guards to bring that girl to the palace expressing his desire to marry her. Thus in a minute, the life of the poor girl got totally changed.
Similar to this, the eyes of the King of kings saw us one day. What impressed Him so much is not known and He made us His children, friends and the bride. He shared His throne with us. The Holy Spirit enables you to possess perfect glory by changing your image to that of His. The Holy Spirit dwells in you for this purpose. He is with great zeal that you should be made holy and you receive from glory to glory.
One day a tax collector came to the church and being influenced by the thought of his sins, stood afar off and being unable even to raise his eyes to heaven, prayed saying “God, be merciful to me, a sinner”. The eyes of God met him with love. He was made righteous and he returned joyfully.
Hereafter you should not stand afar. You should not be strangers and foreigners anymore. You should belong to the same household in Christ. Present yourself to stay as Zion and Jerusalem. The name ‘Jerusalem’ gives the meaning ‘the City of Peace’. God will fill you with the divine peace which the world could neither give nor take. The word ‘Zion’ gives the meaning ‘Those who keep looking at the Sun of righteousness’.
Dear children of God, you should no more be a Zion staying far away. Come unto God, looking at the love of Calvary. Dedicate yourself to please God and to stay as His loving children. God will change you into a happy Zion.
To meditate: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8).
