“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity” (Psalm 133:1).

The “Church” is the family of God. Jesus Christ who is your elder brother is there. You maintain fellowship with Him as brothers and sisters of His family. The Church is the one which God purchased with His own blood. It is Spiritual hiding for you the believers. When you mingle in the fellowship of the church, you receive the strength, power and life. God has redeemed you through His sacrifice in Calvary, blood, death and resurrection and has brought you to the hiding of the church.

The Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved (Acts 2:47). God has created the Apostles, shepherds, evangelists, prophets and the pastors for the protection and support to prevail in the church for the believers. What a blessed experience it is for the church to assemble, worship God with Spirit and truth and receive the wonders and miracles from God! One prays for the other in the church. One carries the burden of the other. When one believer slides, other believers lift and uphold them. There is protection for each other.

Dear children of God, go to the church and worship God with Spirit and truth. It is essentiality for the Christian life for the church to assemble and worship. When Solomon built a church for God, He promised him saying “Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to prayer made in this place” (II Chronicles 7:15).

Most of the miracles which Jesus Christ performed happened in churches. One sister used to come to church often late and she will be praying with tears only for her own problems and struggles. One day God talked to her. He said, “I come to the church at the beginning of the service along with my angels. The angel, who reveals the grace of healing by going down the pool at Bethesda and stirring the water, will also come to the church in time. You can come early to the church and receive the miraculous healing.”

Dear children of God, come early to the church which is in the secret place of the Most High, participate in the worship and rejoice. God will definitely move in your midst. He is the one to dwell in the midst of the praises. Even now His wings of love have closed upon you.

To meditate: “ …not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:25).
