“I commend you to God and to the word of His grace” (Acts 20:32).

“Word of grace” is the name for the Word of God. He heals and gives life by sending the Word of grace. You will receive furthermore blessings through this Word of grace.

Once, an Evangelist by name Charles Finny was preaching on the basis of the verse “But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more” (Romans 5:20). A terrible robber was listening to him from a long distance. The verse that was preached began to work deep in his heart. On conclusion of the meeting, he came to Charles Finny and asked, “Can the grace which you defined, meet me? Can I be saved by your Jesus Christ?

Further, he took that servant of God in his horse and took him into a dilapidated bungalow located in a thick forest area and showed his dwelling place. Hundreds of empty bottles had been dumped there and the entire place was filled with the bad odour of alcohol. He asked, “I cannot even spend half-an-hour without resorting to alcohol and will Jesus meet such a worst drunkard?”

After this, he took him to a dense forest area and showed all his terrible weapons which he had hid down in a pit there. He also showed hundreds of skulls scattered there and asked, “All these persons have been killed by me. Will Jesus show mercy on such a terrible person like me?”

Then he took him to his place of residence, located on top of a hill. When he knocked the door, a child filled with fear opened it. A weak, pathetic looking woman was also seen inside. He introduced both of them as his wife and daughter. My violent battering has made her stay bedridden. Will Jesus save me who is such a worst sinner?”

Charles Finny embraced that murderer and said, “Jesus has shed His blood for your sake too. You are His son. Right now, He embraces you and accepts you with His wounded hand.” As he said these words, they pierced into him like electricity and he began to plead, “Jesus, forgive me. Mercifully accept me.” At that moment, the grace of God met him. Dear children of God, that grace is also meeting you today. His grace is sufficient for you.

“For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him” (Psalm 103:11).
