“Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning. Teach me to do your will” (Psalm 143:8, 10).

David was pleased to sit at the feet of God in the early morning. Since he had the desire to please God, he came to the presence of God every day in the early morning and prayed, "God, Teach me to do your will."

It is not possible for you to please God with your self-strength, self-righteousness or self-efforts. Every day, when you come to the presence of God in the early morning and seek "God, teach me" He will do accordingly. Yes, if God teaches you, you will definitely walk in His ways and do what pleases Him.

The early morning time is the pleasant and sweet time for you to have a relationship with God. Your relationship with God, His interaction with you, to understand His will for the entire day, to be preached by Him – thus you would undergo a glorious experience.

We read in Genesis 3:8 “And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day.” In the tranquil hours of the dawn, you can clearly hear His divine voice and rejoice. In the later hours, the worldly things and worries may distract you. So, to enable God to preach you to do His will, allocate the early hours to God.

David says, “I shall be satisfied when I awake in your likeness” (Psalm 17:15). Not only David but also all the saints of God had the habit of rising early in the morning, have a relationship with God and hear His thin voice. We read in Genesis 22:3 “Abraham rose early in the morning” and in Job 1:5 we read "...he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings."

Look at the life of Jesus Christ. “Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed” (Mark 1:35). Acts 5:21 says that the apostles entered the temple early in the morning and taught.

Dear children of God, make them your experiences to wake up early in the morning, to pray, to meditate and to have a relationship with God. When you wake up early in the morning and present your gratitude with all your heart, God who likes the praise will teach you His way. Your ears will definitely hear His voice saying "This is the way. Walk in it."

To meditate: “All of you, assemble yourselves, and hear! Who among them has declared these things? The Lord loves him; He shall do His pleasure on Babylon and His arm shall be against the Chaldeans” (Isaiah 48:14).
