BE OF GOOD COURAGE!

“Be of good courage and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God” (II Samuel 10:12).

In the Scripture, a counsel which God gives to His children is "Be courageous." Every time when you feel disgusted, keep reading the book of Acts again and again. That will help you understand how courageous the disciples were, how boldly Peter spoke, what a wonderful harvest of souls was carried out and to what extent the Holy Spirit strengthened His children.

You are righteous and the Scripture says: “But the righteous are bold as a lion” (Proverbs 28:1). So, when you stand for God with zeal, you will never have to get back. If you are bold you will break the forts of satan. No magician or no sorcery can overcome you.

If a cobra raises its hood and hisses, it is done not out of boldness. The real reason for its hissing is because of its fear that someone may beat it. You have not been called to be afraid of the snake. You have been called to stamp the serpents and the scorpions and to overcome all the powers of satan.

The destruction of satan will come when the revival comes in you. So, he will try his level best to threaten you. The Scripture says: "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31). So, be courageous. God is the one to make you bold. David says, "And made me bold with strength in my soul" (Psalm 138:3).

God is with you. Thousands of saints, Cherubim and Seraphim are with you. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. The people with you are more in number than those with them. He comforts you saying, "Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I will help you." So, do not be afraid and be brave.

We see in the Scripture, Peter being afraid of a servant girl but the Holy Spirit helped him to boldly proclaim and preach in the midst of the Jews. He boldly declared “You…… killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses” (Acts 3:14, 15). The Jews were rude in nature but the courage to turn thousands of them towards God came to Peter because of the Holy Spirit.

Dear children of God, this is the time for you to arise and shine. This is the time you have to do rare and great things for God. Shake down the dust and get up. Shake away the fear and tiredness and arise.

To meditate: “But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge” (II Peter 1:5).
