“…. you walk…..redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15, 16).

One day consists of 24 hours or 1440 minutes or 86 400 seconds. If it is so, how many seconds is one year consists of? There is a funny story about this. A pendulum of a clock hanging on a wall was moving this way and that way continuously.

One day it began to think of its future. The thought of "If I continue to move twice a second making the 'tik tik' noise. I will have to do this 1, 72, 800 times in a day and in a year it will be 6, 30, 72, 000 times" made it feel like fainting with chest pain.

An older clock was hanging nearby and it began to make fun of the clock which was worried over its future saying, "Hi, Idiot, your movement is just once at one time. Is it so hard to perform? Can't you continue to do this? Why do you worry about the future?"

You also do not worry about the future. Do not get disgusted by worrying so. The present is in your hands. Make use of every minute with divine strength. The Scripture says, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (Mathew 6:34).

Many people worry about the future and thereby lose the present. This makes them spend the present in tears. God is powerful to give you the day's bread every day. So, do not worry about tomorrow. Many people initiate to gain time but after gaining it, they struggle being not knowing how to spend it.

In America and Europe, people act very swiftly in every work they do. They travel fast to gain time. But the time they save is being spent only in drinking, lusts of the world and unclean life.

Dear children of God, you cannot read anywhere in the Scripture that Jesus was running. In those days, there were chariots and camels to help one to travel fast but Jesus Christ fulfilled all His ministerial commitments only through walking. Further, though He chose walking for everything, how wonderfully He made use of the three and a half years, the period available for Him to minister!

Never forget that you will have to account for, every second you waste in this world, to God

To meditate: “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep” (Romans 13:11).
