“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10).

Be strong in the Lord. Be strong in the fellowship and relationship with God. Be strong in the power of the Holy Spirit. Be strong in the divine grace with which one overcomes the enemy. Dear children of God, He has called you to do His work with the strength derived from Him. When God calls you, He never calls empty-handed. He strengthens you, fills you with power and gives you governance and authority.

The people of the world undergo several strenuous physical exercises to become strong and healthy. For this, they drink certain special drinks. These things are capable of strengthening one's physical body. But God is one who strengthens the soul. He strengthens the inner man. He is the one to fill with the strength of the High. That is why Paul the Apostle says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

Dear children of God, if you get strengthened in God and His power, you will do great things for God. You will shake the foundation of the nation; you will arise and shine.

When God called Jeremiah, he said, “Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth” (Jeremiah 1:6). When Moses was called by God, he replied, “I am slow of speech and slow of tongue” (Exodus 4:10). When God called Peter, he realized his poor status of illiteracy and said, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord” (Luke 5:8).

The Bible colleges create many servants of God and send them to the world year after year. But the actual requirement is persons strong and powerful in Spirit, persons who witness that the Lord alone is a living God and persons who establish the Scripture through miracles and signs which they do shaking the foundation of the nation.

During the days of Jesus Christ, there were many servants of God like the Pharisees, Sadducees and the Scribes. They were simply arguing without any burden on the soul, accusing and finding faults with others and thus were not useful to God.

Dear children of God, you should not remain like that but should be as one who heals the sick with compassion as God did and should be powerful enough to redeem the souls from the clutches of satan. You should be the servants of God who do miracles with compassion and who redeem the souls from satan and take them to the Kingdom of God.

To meditate: “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11).
