“So all bore witness to Him and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth” (Luke 4:22).

Our God is a God of all grace. He enables us to receive grace after grace. All His gracious words are filled with compassion, love and unlimited grace. He always spoke the words of grace.

When Jesus met the paralytic man, with compassion He said, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven to you” (Mathew 9:2). Those were not only the words of comfort but also words of power and grace. The paralytic man was healed immediately. People had gathered in multitude for three days, day and night, to hear the Word of God. The gracious words of God became the strong spiritual food for them.

Jesus was not willing to send the multitude with that and said, “I have compassion on the multitude because they have now continued with me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way” (Mathew 15:32). Accordingly, He fed all of them to their satisfaction. He was able to share and feed the entire multitude with seven loaves of bread and few fishes and the people who ate felt filled (Mathew 15:34-37).

Dear children of God, when you pray in the presence of God, wait for His Word. Let His thin voice give life to you. Let it teach you and guide you. He wants to speak to you. His Words not only provide comfort to you but also they do miracles. “Your words were found, and I ate them and your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart” (Jeremiah 15:16).

A leper came, knelt before Jesus and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean. Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” (Mathew 8:2, 3, Mark 1:40, 41). Dear children of God, the loving words of God will also do a miracle for you. Hence, come to His presence and wait and pray for His gracious words.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is powerful to perform miracles in your family, all which He had already did in Jerusalem, Judea and Capernaum. He is powerful to speak with you. When you believe His words of grace, His grace will surround you.

To meditate: “And of His fullness we have all received and grace for grace” (John 1:16).
