“This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11).

Let the promise of "Jesus Christ will come again" keep your heart cheerful always. That is the great and glorious hope of your life.

When Jesus came to this world for the first time, He came to die for your sake. Sacrificing His life on the Cross of Calvary, He paid the price for you. He gave us forgiveness and Salvation.

When He comes again, He will not come like a sacrificed sheep but like a King of kings and Lord of lords. Christ will come only for the sake of His chosen children. He will appear to those who carry out the service of bringing His people towards Him. You have to remain eagerly expecting for that day to come. The Holy Spirit is also preparing you for that day. The Scripture says: “Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee” (II Corinthians 5:5).

On the visit of God, His children will rejoice. This will be a great celebration to the servants of God. How greatly He will honour those who carried out the ministry in the midst of so many sufferings and sorrows! Jesus said, “Blessed are those servants whom the master when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that He will gird himself and have them sit down to eat and will come and serve them” (Luke 12:37).

Today, many servants of God in our Nation are leading a life which belongs to 'below poverty line' category. They do God's work in the countryside with a very meagre income. Most of the evangelists do not have permanent income or people's patronage. The Coming of Christ alone will be a remedy to all their problems.

On His coming, Jesus Christ will embrace his children and take them with Him. Jesus said, “Where I am, there my servant will be also” (John 12:26). Further, His plea to God was that all His children should always be with Him (John 14:16).

Dear children of God, though sufferings and tribulations are there in the world, stand good and faithful in their midst for the sake of God who called you. On His Coming, He will wipe all your tears with His Golden hand. Feel happy and rejoice as that day is fast approaching!

To meditate: “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18).
