LORD MOST HIGH!
"I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High" (Psalm 7:17).
God’s name ‘Jehovah Elyon’ is being translated as ‘God, the Most High’. Our God is God the Most High and He dwells on high (Psalm 113:5). He is the one seated on the throne placed magnificently high.
First of all, God of Most High blesses you with blessings of the Most High. See the way how Abraham was blessed. "Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand" (Genesis 14:18-20).
Secondly, God of the Most High has provided you refuge of the Most High. The Scripture says "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty" (Psalm 91:1). How special “’the secret place of the Most High’ is! How protective ‘the shadow of the Almighty’ is! The refuge to escape from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence is with Him. He will cover you with His feathers of love and under His wings, you shall take refuge.
Thirdly, God of the Most High fills you with the heavenly strength which is the Holy Spirit. He filled His disciples with the Spirit of the Highest saying, "... tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high" (Luke 24:49). They were strengthened when the Holy Spirit descended on them. Jesus Christ told that they will be witnesses to him in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth" (Acts 1:8).
Fourthly, God of the Highest has made us sit together in the heavenly places with Him (Ephesians 2:6). Among all the blessings, earthly blessings are there. Spiritual blessings are also there; eternal blessings are also there. At the same time, the blessings of the Highest are also there. "Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ" (Ephesians 1:3).
What a great blessing it is to dwell with God, singing the songs of the High and getting filled with the love of the Most High! You will rejoice eternally along with God of the Most High, in the heavenly Kingdom. Dear children of God, let God of the Most High be glorified through you always. The Psalmist says, "Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights!" (Psalm 148:1).
To meditate: "Who is like the Lord our God, who dwells on high?" (Psalm 113:5).
