LEARN FROM ME!

"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me" (Mathew 11:29).

How to lead a holy life? How to learn this? Yes. You have to learn holiness from Jesus. The entire life of Jesus was holy. He lived like a man like us with flesh and blood. He was tested in every way as we are tested. Yet, He was sinless and holy.

We see the rise and fall of many saints in the Scripture. Why did God write all those things? It is only for you to learn from. The fall of those saints should caution you and their rise should encourage you. Paul the Apostle taught "The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do" (Philippians 4:9).

While writing to Timothy, Paul the Apostle points out "Pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart" (II Timothy 2:22). Always have a friendly relationship with those who worship God. Learn what holiness is by associating with the children of God. Let the zeal to lead a holy life rise in you. The good spiritual friends alone will help you in living and walking in the path of holiness.

A pastor was there and when someone complained to him about others he used to close his eyes tightly at once. And by hanging his face down, he will make it very clear that he did not relish hearing such complaints. Even in his visiting card, these words appeared at the top 'Speak evil of no man'

Further, your past experiences in life also should be a lesson for you. Sit in the presence of God and examine yourself with the following questions. "In what situation did I fall? By doing what, I could have avoided this fall? If I am falling down often in similar situations, how could I overcome them? Is my outlook the cause for this or I talk too much for these things to happen or is it the lack of prayer in me which causes these things?"

Not only that. Follow your resolutions that are made in relation to holiness very strongly. Bring them to practice. Sincere efforts will definitely yield good results. You should never stay in the same position where you had the fall. A righteous person will rise even when he has to fall for seven times. Dear children of God, arise. You have to shine in holiness.

To meditate": Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you" (Psalm 119:11).
