"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls" (Mathew 11:29).

Christ will provide you with divine rest when you accept His yoke on your souls.

In the olden days, people used the bulls to plough the fields or to pull the carts. In order to tie the two bulls together a cylindrical and lengthy log of wood would be placed on their necks. This is called a yoke. The bulls used for the purpose should be of the same strength and same age. Only then the cart will run smoothly and steadily,

Paul the Apostle said, "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? ” (II Corinthians 6:14, 15)

When a connection related to marriage or business is made with a person yet to be saved, it spoils the peace once for all. Mental peace will be wiped out. The beginning may appear good but the end will be a great tragedy. So, the children of God should never be unequally yoked together with unbelievers for worldly benefits/

Once you were struggling in the slavery of sins. The yoke of satan was terribly placed on your soul. When you looked up to God, He promises saying "I will break his yoke from your neck and will burst your bonds; foreigners shall no more enslave them" (Jeremiah 30:8).

Now, satan is leading the youth in a miserable manner placing the yokes like drugs, cannabis and alcohol on them. When you come nearer to Christ, you will have to accept His yoke on yourself. God says, "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light" (Mathew 11:30). When you accept that yoke your soul will get the rest.

You and Christ have been combined in the yoke on either side. The Scripture says, "He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked" (I John 2:6).

Dear children of God, when you are combined with Him in a yoke, He will never admit any burden to be placed on you, How blessed it is for you to run the life combining with Him and to do the ministry, combined together with Him!

To meditate: "...they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke and delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them" (Ezekiel 34:27).
