“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19)

God is faithful in Word and is faithful in fulfilling it. When the Word of the Almighty came out, it turned into a deed of creation. In the beginning, God said, “Let there be light” and there was light. God called the light Day and the darkness He called Night and thus came the morning and evening.

John the Apostle writes that the voice of God was the sound of many rivers (Revelation 1:15, 19:6). The Word of God is powerful. He created everything with His Word. The Psalmist says, “For you have magnified your word above all your name” (Psalm 138:2).

God magnifies His Word more than His Name. His saying that “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away” (Mark 13:31) is a never changing one. The Scripture verses are the foundation of Christian life.

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us” (II Corinthians 1:20). Dear children of God, if you stay put in Christ, you will inherit all the promises. You may be in a state of dejection as you did not get the promises fulfilled. But if God promises, He will definitely fulfil it.

One thing, you will have to notice. Among the promises of God, few are unconditional and some are conditional. The promise of God to stay with you always is an unconditional one. But the promise vide Malachi 3:10 which says, Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house and try me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it” is a conditional one. When you obey this conditional promise God will bless all the labour of your hands.

Among all the promises God made to you, not a single one failed. "For the word of God is living and powerful, " says Hebrews 4:12. God says, “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock” (Mathew 7:24). Dear children of God, build your life on the basis of the Word of God. He is God who is faithful in Word.

To meditate: “So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11).
