“And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; the rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken” (Isaiah 25:8).

When someone ignores your tears, it is natural that your heart is filled with unbearable sorrow. Some young women will painfully say that their husbands do not respect their tears. Certain mothers will say that their children do not realise the dejection of their hearts.

But, God is one who wipes your tears (Isaiah 25:8). He has an account of how much tears you shed (Psalm 56:8). He also weeps along with you (John 11:35). He will wipe away every tear from your face with His golden hands (Revelation 21:4).

Once, King Hezekiah was sick and Isaiah the prophet came to him and asked him to set his house in order as he was about to die. This made him turn his face towards the wall and cried bitterly. God who saw those tears sent His Word through Isaiah and the king was informed that fifteen years had been added to his life (Isaiah 38:5). How compassionate God is!

Dear children of God, your tearful prayer will definitely be answered. He will never ignore your tears. Your tear melts His heart. David says, “Put my tears into your bottle; are they not in your book?” (Psalm 56:8). The tears you shed on the earth fall into the bottle which God has in heaven. He has an account of your tears. He knows who has shed tears and how much tears one has shed.

The scientists of the world determine how much rain is required to meet the drinking purpose of the population and to serve the irrigational needs. But God measures all your tears. Every drop of tear you shed will turn into a blessing. That will bring the deliverance to you from the presence of God. Those who sow in tears shall definitely reap in joy.

When Lazarus died, his sisters wept. This broke the heart of Jesus. He also wept (John 11:35). Dear children of God, when you shed tears, God also comes nearer to you and weeps. Further, He wipes your tears and turns them into dancing.

To meditate: “For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes” (Revelation 7:17).
