“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2).

There are three types of wall. The first is the one built by satan, the next is the one raised by the sins and the last is the one raised by the blood of Calvary and fire.

Firstly, satan will raise a wall to block the blessings from reaching you. He will bring various tests and struggles as a wall when you plan to develop and cheerfully proceed to lead a prayerful life. He will close several entrances and bring in the dominance of darkness.

That was how he raised the walls of Jericho against the Israelites. But the children of Israel did not care about the walls of Jericho. Though they knew that it was the wall which would prevent them from inheriting the land of Canaan, they just came around it praising God. When they glorified God and shouted the praises the huge walls of Jericho broke and fell down. Dear children of God, when you praise God, the walls of hurdles of satan will break and fall down.

Secondly, your sins remain as a wall of prevention between you and God. That is why Isaiah the prophet points out “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2).

When Adam and Eve committed sin, that sin turned out to be a wall of obstruction. They hid among the trees. On one side was the loving God and on the other side was the sinner. And in between were the trees. In the outer look, they may look like trees but in fact, they were their sins. When a person commits sins, he loses the presence of God.

In order to have a relationship with God and to rejoice and have a fellowship with God, remove this wall of obstruction. The Scripture says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Thirdly comes the wall which is built with the blood of God, the fire of the Holy Spirit and His wings. When you hide under the wings of God, no enemy could come nearer to you crossing the fort of the blood of God and the wall of fire. no evil could approach you. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalms 91:1).

To meditate: “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust” (Psalms 91:2).
