SCARCITY?

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

Our God is rich in glory. He will make good of all your shortages. Even the young lions may lack and suffer hunger but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.

In the wedding home of Cana, there was a shortage of wine. Joy will not be there where there is a shortage of wine. Confusion and sadness would have prevailed in that wedding home. But when they come unto Jesus, according to his richness in glory, He turned the shortage into plenty.

The water miraculously turned into wine. The wine given by God through water was much tastier than the wine served by the house owner earlier.

Dear children of God, there might be some shortages also in your life. But when you obey the Word of God, He will definitely bless you by turning all your shortages into plenty. When you come to Jesus not only your shortages will be made good but your mourning also will be turned into dancing (Psalms 30:11). “....the days of your mourning shall be ended” (Isaiah 60:20).

For Hannah, it was a sorrow that she did not have a child. But, one day she came to the feet of God. She believed that God will meet her need according to His riches in glory. She fully believed that her mourning will be turned into dancing and accordingly God gave her blessed Samuel and five more children.

Ai is a small town in Israel. Joshua and his warriors faced defeat being unable to capture even that small town. This made Joshua tear his clothes and fall to the earth on his face and cry.

God saw that tears. He revealed that Achan was the cause for the defeat. When the Israelites burnt and removed him, God turned that defeat into victory. After this, Joshua not only inherited Ai but also the whole of Canaan.

Dear children of God, whatever be the situation, either defeat or sorrow, reconcile with God getting rid of all things which are not to the liking of God. When you purify yourself, your mourning will be turned into dancing. When you pray like Hannah, your sorrow will be turned into joy. When you obey the Word of God, the shortages will be turned into plenty.

To meditate: “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you” (Joshua 3:5).
