“You shall stay no longer” (Exodus 9:28).

Pharaoh who had been restraining the children of Israel thus far, took back all the restrictions and said: “You will stay no longer”. Yes. There is no more any restriction in worshipping God; no more any restriction in inheriting Canaan.

The first hurdle to restrict the children of Israel from leaving Egypt was none but Pharaoh. Pharaoh had the governance, power, military strength and with all these factors he also had pride in him. He not only asked proudly who God was and why he should obey Him but he also kept on restraining the children of Israel. How long was he able to restrict the children of Israel? He was able to do that only until the blood of the Passover lamb was sprinkled on the doorposts of the divine people. Once the blood was sprinkled, all the hurdles were broken.

Quite often, you too come across hurdles in your life. You may not be able to flourish in your business endeavours. Your wish of building a house of your own may not get fulfilled. There may be hurdles in your children getting married. You may be worried that obstructions are there in everything.

When you submit yourself and your family fully to Jesus Christ, all the hurdles from enemies like Pharaoh get broken. No power could stand against the blood of Jesus. In this new month, God will clear all the hurdles and do miracles for you.

The Scripture says, “The one who breaks open will come up before them; they will break out, pass through the gate, and go out by it; their king will pass before them, with the Lord at their head” (Micah 2:13).

The hurdles are created not only by satan but they also arise because of your lack of faith. You give space for disbelief and fatigue and thereby prevent the blessings from reaching you. The Scripture says, “If you believe with all your heart, you may” (Acts 8:37). But if you do not believe, your disbelief itself will become a huge hurdle for you.

During the days when Jesus Christ lived in this world, He did not do many mighty works because of the people’s unbelief (Matthew 13:58). Similar to how the old clothes and trash prevent the flow of water in the pipeline, your lack of faith prevents the fountain of blessings from reaching you. Dear children of God, if you wish your faith to grow, proclaim your faith by opening your mouth. Speak the words of God which contain life and Spirit. If you do this, you will grow and move ahead in faith.

To meditate: “Do not hinder me, since the Lord has prospered my way” (Genesis 24:56).
