"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God” (Mathew 5:9).

The act of bringing in peace itself is a blessed experience. All those among whom you created peace will be very much grateful to you. Further, when you make peace, you will be called sons of God.

Once an Evangelist walked into villages and towns and preached about Jesus Christ, Prince of peace. Many miracles happened in the meeting. Many people came forward to dedicate their lives to God. But in spite of happening of all these good things, there was none to support or appreciate or to help him financially.

After ministering for several days, he returned to his village and there he saw the whole village wearing a festive look as the villagers were getting ready to welcome a politician. There were numerous lights and decorations everywhere.

He was so sad to notice the people according such a great welcome ceremony to a politician who is a selfish person speaking lies and at the same time, there is no one to welcome him even though he returned after involving himself for so many days in the peacemaking ministry of the King of kings.

At that moment, the love of God embraced him. God told him “My son, that politician receives the returns in this world itself. His value comes to an end here itself. But the blessing of yours is greater than that of his. You are my son and when you reach heaven, the welcome you may receive there may be multiple crores than what was done to him here.”

Dear children of God, if you are involved in evangelism which is making peace between God and people, it is greater than all your worldly achievements and you will be blessed.

You are not only the ambassadors of God in this world but also His own children. He has given you the authority to become His children. He has given you the Spirit of adoption with which you call Him “Abba, Father.” What the world requires now is people who make peace.

When you make efforts to bring peace in the families, many may despise you and also underestimate you. But do not relent in your efforts. God will appreciate your initiatives. When you undertake such initiatives, your rewards in heaven and earth will be great.

To meditate: "How beautiful are the feet of those whopreach the gospel of peace” (Romans 10:15).
