“You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God” (Isaiah 62:3).

Meditate on how the hand of God would be. It is a hand which holds seven big, bright stars. It is not only a hand doing mighty things but also a hand pierced with nails for your sake. God is holding you with that hand. He is holding you as the crown of glory and a royal diadem.

The word "Crown" is the sign of the king. God is not looking at you as helpless orphans but as kings. Many people degrade themselves by calling as poor, sinner, worm, insect and so on.

It is good to be humble indeed. But it is wrong to give space for an inferiority complex. God is always seeing you as sons of kings, children of God and ones wearing the crown.

Further, the word "Crown" indicates the governance and authority. When you call God remaining as His children with the spirit of adoption "Abba, Father", He gives you governance and authority. When God created man He created him in his image and likeliness and gave him the authority to rule over everything (Genesis 1:28).

Many people forget that they are the crowns and sell away their greatness for the sake of simple worldly desires. These people do this as Judas sold away his great position of Apostle for 30 silver coins and as Eve lost her governance for eating the forbidden fruit.

Vashti, wife of king Ahasuerus, forgot that she was a crown and thus lost it due to disobedience. At the same time, Esther obeyed Mordecai and God and thus received that crown.

Among the Crowns some are visible and some are invisible. The crowns made of gold and diamonds are visible ones. But the crowns made of good things, grace and glory are the invisible ones.

God not only crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies but He is also having a crown that does not fade away, a crown of life and a crown of glory for being given to you. Dear children of God, your run has to end victoriously. Is it not?

To meditate: “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life” (Revelation 2:10).
