“He has made everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

God is one who does everything beautiful and in its time. In many a time, you may show urgency but He will slowly make things happen in its time wonderfully.

The clock of God is placed very high and you cannot see the same with your eyes. That clock is never faulty. All things in heaven, earth and beneath the earth happen perfectly according to that clock. See! The sun rises in the morning at the right time. It sets in the appropriate time. The waves of the sea calm down at the right time. The cyclones which blow vigorously calm down at the right time. He has done everything perfectly in its time.

Abraham was struggling for years without a child, He was disheartened. But the clock of God kept on ticking. The Scripture says, “For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him” (Genesis 21:2). The Israelites suffered for many years in Egypt's captivity. But God appointed 'a set time' (Exodus 9:5) to break the same and set them free.

Dear children of God, you may be living in captivity today. The yoke of captivity in your work spot or at home may oppress you and make you live devoid of peace. But do not forget one thing. The clock of God keeps on nearing the time of your deliverance.

The Scripture says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12). When you receive the blessings over which you had been craving for a long time, you will understand that your long wait has been for good.

In the Scripture, the children of God knew how to receive great blessings by placing the burden on God and waiting at His feet. That is why Peter says, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time” (I Peter 5:6).

David kept on looking at the clock of God rather than looking at his own. That is why he says, “My times are in your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me” (Psalms 31:15). Dear children of God, your days are in His hands. Wait. He will do the miracles in the appropriate time.

To meditate: “Since times are not hidden from the Almighty, why do those who know Him see not His days?” (Job 24:1).
