HE DID!

“Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this” (Job 12:9).

Some years ago, when the labourers were digging a mine, they found a big diamond there. Their wish was that the diamond found should decorate the crown of their king and so they sent it to him. The king gave the diamond to a sculptor for engraving the same to the correct size to suit the crown and also to polish it.

The world-famous sculptor began the job by hitting it strongly with a hammer and began to chisel the edges to bring it to size. Those who witnessed the sculptors vigorous act might have feared over how the precious stone was handled.

But the fact is that the sculptor might have studied the layers of the diamond spending a lot of time day and night and would have planned to carry out the job meticulously after proper planning and thinking. He did not do anything wrong in sculpting the diamond. After completing the job and after polishing it nicely, he sent it back to the king for fixing it in his crown. When it was fixed in the crown it was glittering with immeasurable brightness and colours. It enhanced the crown’s beauty.

Many a time in your life, you are also forced to experience tribulations both beneath water and fire. You may think "Had God let me down? Why is He not looking at my tears?" and so on. But nothing happens to you without His knowledge.

The reason for all these things is that you should become the diamond decorating the king's crown. God, the eternal sculptor knows how to build your Spiritual life. Without His knowledge, no sorrow could dash against you. All your sorrows will turn into Spiritual blessings. The Eternal Father knows all the sufferings you experience.

Job says, “But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10). Dear children of God, He knows all the paths on which you walk. The sufferings will cease within a few days. But the eternal joy will remain in you forever and ever.

To meditate: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
